NATIONAL LEAGUE

It was meant to happen: two acclaimed DJs, both boasting a history of unforgettable performances wherever they played, and backed by killer releases that have captured the imagination of clubbers and earned the admiration and respect of the world's top DJs and Dance music producers - joining forces. The indisputable fact that they both happen to be the best of friends makes you wonder why it has taken this long to see this exciting and potential collaboration manifest itself upon the world Dance scene.
But the wait is now over. Preparing to take the global dancefloor by storm.NATIONAL LEAGUE.
National League is the amalgamation of Malta's No.1 deckspinner DJ Ruby and the Netherlands' rising star DJ San. Conceived around the late summer of 2008 after working on an on-off basis over the last 4 years, National League was launched with the aim of combing Ruby and San's extensive studio wizardry together with their flair for rocking crowds to give you unforgettable tunes that are guaranteed to keep the dancefloor heaving, which is no lame boast given the combined pedigrees that both DJs have garnered over two decades.
Ruby's position as Malta's top DJ has seen him moving from strength to strength via his Pure Promotions events imprint (the biggest on the Maltese isles), a successful and ardently followed radio show on Malta's top radio station 89.7 Bay, appearances for MTV Europe, a residency with the world-renowned Renaissance organisation, a busy DJ schedule both at home and abroad and regular releases as a solo artist that have showered him with many music awards.
As for San, his productions and remixes on many major Dance labels such as Positiva, Additive, ID&T, EMI and Sony/BMG under his name or under his Solid Sessions moniker have graced the turntables and mix CDs of top DJs as diverse as John Digweed, John '00' Fleming, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Deep Dish, Tiesto and many more, whilst his deft mixing skills have seen him hold residencies in Brazil, India and his native Holland - not to mention the many countries he keeps on being invited to play in by way of top organisations such as Creamfields, Dancevalley, Ministry Of Sound and more.
In a move away from their previous underground releases as solo artists, National League's musical manifesto will aim to bring a more dancefloor-friendly vibe, which can be already heard in their first two well-received tracks 'Night Moves' and 'Don't Touch That Dial', whilst primed for immediate release are another couple of potential anthems, namely '2am' and 'Goes Around, Comes Around' - with many more to follow. These releases will be perfectly complimented with their unique show, where decks, FX and software are the weapons of choice used to redefine most clubbers' perceptions of the term 'back to back DJ set' - resulting in a new experience that will smoke out any club they'll play in!
With such a rich tapestry of talent and major achievements between them, rest assured that National League will be the international Dance act to look out for in 2009. Suffice to say that the idiom 'taking the world by storm' does not do them justice. Expect an earthquake from them, more like.
